About Us
Our first aim as consultant psychologists is to be welcoming and authentically kind. The role of the Psychotherapist is to help people, and kindness and compassion are central to that purpose. A gentle and humane approach serves to empower clients and engenders hope and optimism.
People seeking consultant services require safe and effective solutions to the challenges confronting them. Evaluating problems objectively and devising creative, yet testable, solutions offers the best prospect of achieving successful outcomes.
Psychotherapy has more in common with education than surgery. Surgeons usually have direct access to the anatomical structures that require attention. In psychotherapy, however, there is no direct access.
Therefore, the client and psychotherapist have to work together as a team, to define and to solve the problems that the client chooses to bring to the sessions.
This involves supporting the client, to delve into areas in areas of client’s mind, with compassion, sensitivity and objectivity, to help to resolve the concerns that they present.
Our experienced consultant Psychologists strive to create a genuinely safe and supportive setting to help our clients to identify and solve their presenting concerns.
We work with anyone seeking help to overcome challenges, to enhance their psychological wellbeing and to unleash their full potential.
Inevitably, not all clients will be a good fit with every psychotherapist. Therefore, you should feel free to request a move to work with anyone within, or beyond, our team at the Clear Thinking Clinic.

'Psychology is not just the study of weakness and damage,
it is also the study of strength and virtue.
Treatment is not just fixing what is broken,
it is nurturing what is best within ourselves.’
